It is getting close to the last warning about analog television, soon the holidays will be here and after that the new year. While everyone is concentrating on those events they are going to miss the final warning and unless they have something like a Direct TV deal they might turn the television on one morning to nothing. Not programs, not snow, absolutely nothing and that is going to be a big let down for the person that expects when they turn the television on they will get their local programs.
That is why there are many people that have already made the jump from watching television with an antenna to satellite TV. They do not want to be without television when the signal changes from analog to digital and with Direct TV deals that is not a concern. Direct TV transmits in digital and in HD and the February date does not make a difference, because they already see just what advantages there are with digital transmissions.
